Contextual Integration

Condition of an information system in which the context (e.g., patient identification) is preserved when the user switches between application components. The general aim is that a task that has already been executed once for a certain purpose does not need to be repeated again to achieve the same purpose. This type of integration is also referred to as visual integration. @en Contextual integration means that the context is preserved when the application component is changed. Or, more generally, the aim is that a task that has already been executed once for a certain purpose, such as login to a component, or selecting a patient, needs not be repeated again in the information system, in order to achieve the same purpose. @en
